The story of TallowCoco didn't begin in a lab or a boardroom. It began on the shores of Kaua'i, Hawai'i, in the heart of a young girl named Seana.
Connecting the Dots
Growing up in the islands, Seana’s childhood was shaped by the beauty of the ‘Aina (land), but also by a quiet, observant curiosity about health. She vividly remembers visiting her father’s father as he lived out his final year with melanoma. She also remembers her "Papa"—her mother’s father—living with prostate cancer for most of her adult life.
Even as a child, Seana began to connect the dots. She saw a clear correlation between the food we consume, the products we use on our skin, and our body’s innate ability—as God intended—to find and destroy abnormal cells before they become cancer. She realized there was almost zero education on how these two factors impact our health and our body's ability to protect itself.
The Path of Education
At 18, Seana moved to Santa Barbara to go to school. It was there she discovered that becoming a nutritionist and teaching people about these vital connections was a true profession—something her home in Hawai'i didn't have at the time.
Seana went on to earn her degree in Nutrition and Entrepreneurship, learning the critical importance of what we eat and how to solve problems that serve people’s health. All along, she studied functional nutrition independently—the study of the entire body as a whole and the pursuit of root causes rather than just treating symptoms.
Guided by Faith and Heritage
In 2023, through the Lord’s guidance and a path forged for her to serve, Seana founded TallowCoco. It was a way to serve her communities in both Arkansas and Hawai'i while giving back to her roots.
TallowCoco is built on the Hawaiian culture Seana was raised in:
-
Ohana: Looking at everyone as an Auntie, an Uncle, or family.
-
Malama ‘Aina: Giving back to the environment and supporting the local farmers in Hawai'i and Arkansas who provide our grass-fed tallow.

A Shared Mission
Today, the mission is a family one. After serving 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, Seana’s husband has finished his enlistment to be home and help her grow the business. Together, they are dedicated to reaching those in need and following wherever the Lord takes them.
At TallowCoco, we aren't just selling a product. We are sharing a lifetime of learning and a commitment to providing functional skinfood that honors the body’s natural ability to heal.
